General check‐up

(Performed on 100% of production)

General check-ups are performed on a 2-meter sample, usually taken from the production core per each lot of 1,000 meters and included:


- Total width control-usable width
- Square meter weight
- Hydrophilic specs and breathability
- Shrinkage after printing
- Brushing loss
- Crushing after printing
- Color shade
- Color fastness (easykrome)
- Greige control

Laboratory tests

Dynamometer elasticity test (EN 14704‐1)

This test controls both warp and weft elasticity of the fabrics.

Martin dale abrasion resistance test (ISO 12947‐4A)

This test determines the abrasion resistance of the fabrics.

 

Martin dale pilling test (ISO 12945‐2)

 

This test defines the pilling resistance of the fabrics.

 

Martin Dale snagging test

 

This test assesses the snagging resistance of the fabrics.

­Pilling box pilling test (UNI EN ISO 12945‐1)

This test determines the pilling resistance of the fabrics.

 

­Pilling box snagging test (ICI 444)

This test determines the pilling and snagging resistance of the fabrics.

Easykrome color fastness washing test (UNI EN ISO 105‐C06)

This test controls the color release upon washing.

 

Drying

This test monitors the water content absorbed and the drying speed.

Inspection machine

In addition to the general check‐up and laboratory controls, we carry out a last control on the finished product before delivery. 25% of the entire production is strictly controlled by our qualified engineer. If any minimum problem or complication arises, the control is extended to 100% of the production lot.
